While you plan your trip to La Malbaie, please consider and favour public transport and car sharing! To do so, we invite you to consult the website PickupPal. Register for free as a driver or a passenger and it will suggest you a pairing with another participant. To proceed, follow instruction on the website!

You are also invited to calculate and offset your carbon emissions by buying carbon credits to contribute to slowing global warming. This is a volunteer choice and we hope that you will be numerous to offset your carbon emissions. Please click here to have more information.

From Quebec city

By bus, from Quebec City airport

If you choose to take the bus to La Malbaie (company: Intercar, route Quebec city – Baie Comeau) you will have to take a cab from the Quebec City Jean Lesage International airport to the bus terminal. You have two possibilities:

• Gare d’autobus de Sainte-Foy (418-650-0087):
• Fare for the cab airport-bus terminal: 20 to 25$;
• Fare for the bus Sainte-Foy-Manoir Richelieu: 43.46$ one-way and 73.49$ round-trip, including a cab from La Malbaie Bus-Terminal to Le Manoir Richelieu, if necessary;
• Departures are at 8:45, 14:30 and 17:15, (on weekend, departures are at 8:45 and 17:15 only).


• Gare du Palais (418-525-3000), in Quebec city downtown:
• Fare for the cab airport-bus terminal: 33.50$;
• Fare for the bus Quebec City-Manoir Richelieu: 43.46$ one-way and 73.49$ round-trip, including a cab from La Malbaie Bus-Terminal to Le Manoir Richelieu, if necessary;
• Departures are at 9:45, 15:00 and 18:00, (on weekend, departures are at 9:45 and 18:00 only).

Notice that the 15:00 bus leaves passengers at Manoir Richelieu. The other buses leave passengers in La Malbaie where a cab included in the bus fare will bring them to the Manoir.

By car, from Quebec City

From Quebec City, take Route 138 and follow the signs for La Malbaie (140 km, approximately 2 hours driving).

You can also take Route 138 till you reach Baie-Saint-Paul, then turn off and take scenic Route 362, which runs along the shores of the Saint-Lawrence River.

You have the possibility to rent a car at the Quebec City Jean Lesage International airport.

From east of Quebec

If you travel from the east of Quebec, you could take the ferry at Rivière-du-loup, on the south shore of the St. Lawrence River route "Rivière-du-Loup to Saint-Siméon", and then take the road 138 to La Malbaie.

Ferry route "Rivière-du-Loup – Saint-Siméon":

• On September, departures are at 8:00, 12:00 and 16:00.
• Crossing time: 65 minutes.
• Capacity: 100 cars / 409 passengers – Restaurant-Lounge – Elevator.
• Fares are 38.80$ one-way for a car and 10.20$ one-way for the driver and each passengers.
